Cassia is an ambitious 12th-grade student with a dream: to win the Best Delegate award at the Francophone Model United Nations conference in Vancouver, which she sees as her ticket to NYU and a career in international relations. During the three-day MONU conference, Cassia’s ambitions clash with complex group dynamics, personal betrayals, and diplomatic rivalry, forcing her to confront her ideals and motivations.

About Eloane

Eloane Venkatapen is a bilingual filmmaker, writer and director based in Vancouver, BC.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Film Production from the University of British Columbia.

Eloane was part of the Women In the Director’s Chair – Career Advancement Module in 2025, VIFF Catalyst program in 2024 and is a founding member of the Francophone filmmaking organization Créaxion.

As a mixed-race woman and French speaker in British-Columbia, Eloane values telling stories from underrepresented perspectives and strives to foster a supportive community focused on telling important stories. 

When not writing and directing, Eloane enjoys creating pottery for her loved ones, playing the guitar and cuddling her cat.
